Battlefield Bird of Prey Centre

In June 2022 Battlefield Falconry Centre came under new ownership and changed its name to Battlefield Bird of Prey Centre – and is now under the management of Lisa Scattergood & Steve Cross. Steve also owns Shropshire Falconry. 

The Centre now runs alongside Shropshire Falconry. Lisa and Steve's aim is to grow the business as an Educational and Conservation Centre, allowing people to get up close to Birds of Prey. They intend to have a range of interesting topics for people to come along and participate in, including Owl nest box building and much more. Please Come along and support them, it's a passion they would love to share with you. Schools visits are also a speciality. Opening times
The Battlefield Bird of Prey Centre is open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 1pm, and on Saturday & Sunday from 10am to 3pm. Please be aware that in some instances they may need to close due to adverse weather.


Lisa Scattergood
Before becoming a Falconer, Lisa worked in educational settings for over 23 years, covering all age groups. She likes to share her passion for education within haer role as a Falconer. Delivering hands on, high quality experiences and helping to people to create memories they'll never forget is a passion of Lisa's, combined with sharing her knowledge of these amazing creatures.

Steve Cross
Steve is 45 years a Falconer. His parents moved from the City to Rural Shropshire when he was 5. They took him walking the hedges and fields looking for birds nests and this led to a fascination with Birds of Prey. His first bird was a male Kestrel in his early 20's. Steve is a founder member and chair of Shropshire Hawking Club and also a Raptor Awards Trainer.
